Seems to be running so good right now.. Is he just finding great form or is he really the best player in the UK right now?

UK maybe even Europe.

I know had a little bit of luck in the Irish Open but to come through 700+ players you need it.

He led team GB to victory in the PNC and a fantastic second place in the World Open IV.

Bracelet this year???

I think what people don't realise is that he has always been a great player but is finally now getting his rub of the green - I don't think he has been even playing tournie's for that long?

We have so many good players in the UK now.. Devilfish, R D Wolfe, Goodwin, Frazer, Vaswani, Thew.. the list goes on and on.

Not that long? I wish. It's taken me twenty bloody years to be an overnight sensation.

Mind you I'm not such a tournament junkie as some of those people you mentioned. Outside of the WSOP I tend to "only" play about twenty a year. Some of us are busy grafting away in the cash games while the glory hunters are trying to eat trophies.

BTW Did someone mention my old mate Ian "The Raiser" Fraser as one of the top tournament players in the UK? Stick to the specialist format mate.

I heard that at the Leyton Orient dinner he saw there were twelve to a table and went home.

Lol..

He does get some stick, mind you he has 16 cents short of $1m in prize money! I wouldn't mind that. I also see he went deep in the WSOPE, WPT which arent the normal TV crapshoot formats

Very funny numb nuts............did u notice they put ur table at the back so u couldnt scare any of the young girls, the truth is i suggested you should have been sat at the same table as me right at the front but Barry insisted the comedians already had lots of material to work with.

Anyway keep taking the pills son!

I would consider those who started playing poker professionally before the internet as vetrans and those that are still winning money in both cash games and tournaments post internet as, err winning vetrans. I think Mr Channing can quite safely be called one of those.

Q for Mr Frazer, would you make yourself favourite against Mr Channing in a heads up match? If so what price would you make yourself?

Ian Frazer

Well theres the sprat as it were!.....................I wouldnt consider my self fav against my granny let alone another poker player, but i dont consider it a challenge as Channing hasnt proved himself as a HU player in any tourneys, so theres nothing for me to win.

I understand that Channing and Fraser are playing a heads up match for a Poker Million tournament seat, loser buys. And gives money to charity to boot. What a great lead up to this tournament!

I make the match pretty even. Head up may just come down to who wants it more, but I will definitely be prepared to punt on this once I find out what the line is. Some sportsbook must set a line on this and it needs to be televised or blogged live.

Neil is obviously a very good player, but taking on Fraser heads up will be like fighting a lion without the chair.

Neil, what are you making the line anyway?

When and where will this be taking place? I'll be there with bells on.

I agree with Messyjay, this would be great.

I would love to know where I could watch this. I haven't seen much of Channing heads up play, but I have Frazer's and i would have to make him the slight favourite!!

Shuffle up and deal!

Nice thought but i doubt it will happen. People always talk about these heads up battles but someone normally bottles out along the way.

Would be great to watch though
